Village Veterinary Clinic, Burke, VA

Since then, VVC has established itself as a well-established practice, perhaps best known for providing an honest opinion for an honest price. We are committed to providing high-quality care throughout the life of each pet.

Village Veterinary Clinic is a general, small animal practice focusing mainly on the care of cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other pocket pets. Our veterinarians are skilled in dealing with a broad range of issues. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease as a pet ages, and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during a pet's lifetime.

Present Day

Village Veterinary Clinic (VVC) was established in 1985 as a satellite clinic to a larger practice. At the time, Dr. John Lonam was working as a relief Veterinarian. Impressed with Dr. Lonam's Veterinary knowledge and surgical skills, and cognizant of his well-established reputation in the Veterinary community, VVC's owner approached Dr. Lonam and his wife Anne with an offer to buy the practice. Knowing that it needed an overhaul, the Lonams felt that their combination of experience and skills could fulfill the challenge and on July 1, 1987 - Dr. Lonam's birthday - he and Anne tool ownership of Village Veterinary Clinic.
